Here on Saturday July 11, 2026. Five people waiting in a single line. Two cars in line outside. Only one person working. Week after week; month after month and year after year it’s always the same. Dismal. The South Loop deserves a better Pharmacy.
- Benjamin Andrew (a year ago):
Private equity has clearly already worked hard to ruin Walgreens. The drive thru pharmacy line didn't move for 25 minutes so I thought I'd try going inside. Nope. Several times the last few weeks the store stays closed for a random few hours at night? They can't even keep regular hours. Just pathetic. Why would anyone keep their prescriptions here? By the time I finish writing this it's now 35 minutes to help ONE SINGLE CAR. HOW CAN YOU MAKE MONEY HELPING ONE CUSTOMER PER HOUR AND KEEPING YOUR STORE CLOSED AT WEIRD HOURS?!
- Martyna Malecka (8 months ago):
Service at the pharmacy is atrocious. I called on Monday to make sure that my prescription would be ready for pickup on Wednesday because Thursday is a holiday and they will be closed, and I would run out on Wednesday. I was assured on the phone, their website, and even the virtual assistant that it would be ready on Wednesday. My mom shows up on Wednesday to pick it up for me because I’m at work, and is told by two different pharmacists that there is no way it can be ready on Wednesday and won’t be ready for pickup until Friday, despite everything I’ve been told up to this point. Only 2 hours later, I get a phone call and email that my prescription is in fact ready to be picked up on Wednesday after all. My poor mom shows up again, waits in line for 15 minutes, and is then told that they don’t know where my prescription is. It took them over half an hour to “find” it. The pharmacists were extremely rude and unhelpful the entire time as well, and acted like every person walking in was an inconvenience for them.

Very dirty and unorganized store space, and very often things are out of stock. Wait time is long at the pharmacy, and they seem usually in staff short age that people stand and wait in front of the desk for 5 minutes before attended by a staff

extremely poor customer service. I was on hold for 20 minutes, which is fine I understand they are busy However when the pharmacist or staff (whoever it was) picked up was extremely rude They said, which sounded like they were talking to me " I will see if it's at another location" so I replied " okay why wasnt I told you guys didn't have the prescription this morning when I dropped it off" the lady then proceeded to say"I'm dealing with 5 other people right now ,I was not talking to you. your script will be ready soon" and then hung up on me. it's just simple rude and disrespectful let alone unprofessional. I am calling which means I am not physically there to see that you may be dealing with 5 other people at the same time.

Honestly they need to hire an entire new staffing team, specifically the head pharmacist. Always an issue with insurance billing, have to call to make sure my script is filled 3 days after it’s sent, overall a super unorganized and unprofessional establishment. Avoid this location.

They literally refuse to fill prescriptions because they do not have a filler. You request via the app wait days and still not filled. Sit on hold for 3 hours, go to the store and wait an hour in line... and they say No.... we don't have a filler, COME BACK TOMORROW OR TRANSFER TO ANOTHER WALGREENS. I said to the tech, you and I both know the laws.... one of those prescription is non transferable you. The pharmacist is right there... what the heck. Sometimes I get partial fills. Why? I dont know...to make you suffer and come back wasting everyone's time?? I don't get it. I emailed walgreens. The district manager is aware of the problems, stated it has gone down hill. And nothing changes. I hoped this can turn to a reliable pharmacy where medications are filled in reasonable time, prescriptions in stock, respectful staff, efficient wait times in store and on the phone. I give up. This pharmacy and corporate has negatively impacted my health and safety. FAILURE MANAGEMENT
- Danny Graham (2 years ago):
I recently visited the pharmacy at my local Walgreens and was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. The pharmacist was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to discuss my medications in detail and answer all my questions with clarity. The staff were courteous and efficient, ensuring that my prescriptions were filled quickly. The convenient text alerts when my prescriptions are ready for pickup are a game changer. It’s comforting to have such reliable and professional care close to home. I highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone looking for top-notch service and expertise.
